Sorry, iPhones don't do mms.

Remeber that Qantas pilot guy I met in Cairns? He's got a girlfriend now (poor girl) but he keeps texting me. He's calling me "his naughty little secret". There's actually nothing dirty about me but his fantasies. Thank God we're in different cities.

Doing anything exciting tonight?

Nothing unusual, all dressed up, trying to find somewhere to go. And you?

Heh, I'm all alone and have a bit of a cold. And I was about to start touching myself and thought of you. Can you send me a pic of your p****?

Sorry dear, iPhones don't do mms.

Just telling you that he's a dirty little whore.

Feeling good.

Left house around 3 pm. handed in a couple of resumés to decent boutiques, and made raspberry pie.

I also talked to Nathan and he's fine with Matty moving in to my room on Monday. Happy days.

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oy, Oy, Oy; This is Mark Ronson and he is my boy" GG summary.

Todays weather could be described as Sun. Rain. Sun. Rain. Sun. Rain. Sun. Rain. Kind of changed every 5 minutes. One thing was clear, it was pretty fucking cold.

Todays outfit:
  • Skinny jeans.
  • Long sleeve black undergarment thingie.
House of Holland tee; "UHU GARETH PUGH" version in case you're curious.
  • White primsolls. (could only choose between high heels or leaking Converse)
  • Scarf.
  • Silver trenchcoat.
Sounds like a hell lot of clothes but I can tell that I was freezing.

Artists I saw:

  • Stafford Brothers.
  • Game Boy Game Girl.
  • Felix Da Housecat.
  • Sasha.
  • Mark Ronson & The Vision Players.
Can tell that I wasn't there for the first 4. I was waiting, and waiting, and waiting for Mark. And you bet it was worth it. The highlights were Valerie and Oh My God with Tally and OC intro with the singer from Phantom Planet.

Mark said lots of Fucking and Shit while on stage. Not in a bad way though.

Todays fuel:

  • 1 Smirnoff Ice
  • Souvlaki
I danced for hours, too tired to wait for Kraftwerk. Sorry mate.

Want some Speed?

I've stayed in this house for a week (slept for 2 nights) and have already been offered 2 different kinds of drugs.

I think I wrote about the E i didn't take last week?

Today, before Global Gathering, Somebody asked me whether I'd like some Speed. She didn't have very much but I was enough for a line.
I was a tiny bit unsure of what exactly "speed" was so I asked.

The two of them just stared at me. "Eh..speed is..speed.. Amfetamine"

I said no, politely.

Jeanette is full of regrets.

Somebody invited me over for dinner last night. The apartment was just pure perfection, minimalistic, arty and just, breathtakingly gorgeous. The dinner was beautiful too.
I drank too much. Puked like a racehorse etc. Don't want to know what the bathroom looked like after I'd left.

The worst thing didn't happen until I came home. I started writing to people on facebook.
2 bizarre status updates wasn't enough. (Jeanette is drunk. Jeanette is puking) I was smart enough to start messaging people. Some of them were just..too wrong.

I don't want to exist today. Not today.

I feel deeply sorry for those people who had the unpleasant pleasure of meeting me yesterday.

Apple realated problems.

  • iPhone gets dodgier and dodgier for every day. "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone" kicks me in the ass all the time. The problem?; I have no accessory connected to it. It pops up every second second and stops the music while listening.
  • Macbooks battery is finally over and done, after less than 2 years which is the expected lifetime. I don't have the invoice with me so all chances of getting it replaced for free are eliminated. So now, no charger, no Macbook.
  • iPod has been naughty all the time, I've already had it for over 3 years though. When I'm using earphones, there's no sound in one of them. And yes, I've bought new ones just to try.

Finally got my previous life back.

Traveled all my way to Quakers hill (7stops after Parramatta) and then taxi to Suzy's place. My trunks were standing on her porch, waiting for me.

I've almost forgotten how heavy they were. I don't understand what's inside that's so damn heavy. I guess this is not an unfamiliar situation when you open your suitcase and can't understand how a couple of garments, a couple of pairs of shoes could weight that much. You open your suitcase and realize that it's actually full of..shit.

I'm planning to send some of the stuff back home, straight away. Why did I bring a shitload of useless stuff all the way to Australia?

I'm happy to have my lamb, my laptop and my pretty dresses back though.

Why does Sydney have a tendency to make me so damn depressed?

2 things I like about Aussieland.

There are lots of things I like but these two are things i really like.

  • Parrots in the trees. It's quite cheerful to look out and see cockatoos sitting on a branch outside your window.
  • The sky, the sky should theoretically be the same everywhere but it isn't. The Australian sky is far more dramatic and unusual than other ones I've seen.

In Sydney.

I went to the wrong airport yesterday. 99%of Jetstars flights depart from Tullamarine. How the fuck could I know that only Sydney and Newcastle depart from Avalon?
I nearly died of an heart attack yesterday when the Jetstar guy said: You're going to Sydney? Well, you're at the wrong airport, we don't fly to Sydney from here.
Avalon is 1 hour away and I had 50min left. Think my heart actually stopped for a couple of seconds. Luckily, they managed to cancel my seat and replace me on today instead. Phew.

I went home with the same skybus as the one I came with. My housemates were warming up for a big night out, great! Let's do a blinder/all-nighter.

It was great fun, went to Cookie where on of the housemates, Derek used to work at. Bought 2 beers, 2 gin&tonics and 4 shots. They guessed that It would cost around 60 but the bill actually landed on 28. I'm happy because I bought that round (:
Went to Roxanne later on, a friend of theirs was DJing so we all went there to show some support.

Somebody offered me ecstasy. Unreal. I have never seen anyone do drugs before. Said no of course. It's a personal choice and I choose not to.

Came home around 2, had to wake up 5 to get my ass to airport shuttle. I was FREEZING my ass off as soon as I came out from the protective cave of duvet + pillows. Forced to take a hot shower to get back to life.
The unfurnished room is pretty much fully furnished now. Got Derek's girl Danni's queensize futon bed, a side table showed up, getting a free couch tomorrow, the guys found a wardrobe in the lane, I bought a ricepaper lamp, a clothing rack etc from IKEA. The ex empty room looks decent now.

Well, I'm in Sydney now. Staying in Max'es (Italian guy) room for tonight, might move to hostel tomorrow and then see how Caroline's flat hunt is going. Max is a sugardaddy. I didn't even know those existed. Now I do. I don't really like the thought of somebody else paying for me though. Makes me loose that independent feeling. Just a bit.

Cheerios!

Sydney, Here I come!

Moved in with Nathan, Derek and Jess this morning. Most of the things are sorted out, I'll get a bed today and a free couch on Monday. Just need to buy a few things from IKEA, and you all know how much I love my Swedish furniture superstore.

Oh btw, i just bought a ticket to Sydney, I'm off tonight. In 7 hours to be precise. Staying till the 20th next week. Need to be back for Global Gathering!

Life's just too sweet to be true sometimes..

Diet of a homeless Swede.

Morning/Lunch/Brunch; depending on when I wake up.
  • Boost smoothie size largest. Going through the menu, hoping to find a favourite.
  • Boost wrap
Muchies:

  • Krispy Kreme doughnut, snacks or whatever I find on the street.
"Dinner":

  • 6 inch sub.
Hey, don't give me that look, I didn't really have access to a kitchen..

torsdag 13 november 2008

Hello, Mark!

Oh btw, did I tell that I bought tickets to Global Gathering?

Halfway in.

Luke, the English photographer guy was running late. He couldn't make it till 6pm, which would've trashed my whole schedule for yesterday, so I told him there's no need to rush.

Instead, I went to Brunswick, to those filmmaker guys. God, I adore that house, what's even more adorable must be my roomates. The room is not furnished though but lucky as I am, IKEA is just 2 min drive from their house.

Visited another house later on, 3 creative arts uni students. I liked that house too except that my potential room has a separate entrance from the backyard, a little bit creepy.

Just 10 min ago, Nathan from house no. 1 called and asked whether I'm in or not. Shit, I feel so stressed up, suddenly it's happening. One problem, I still believe Luke the English guy, is really wicked and I still havent looked at that option. He's busy and can't respond to my texts. Nathan is texting and asking me if I'm in. Shit, torn between 2 options, what to do?

Might go to IKEA later and see what I'd cost me to get furniture.

Cheers.

When Stereosonic and Global Gathering are in a collision course.

Australians are smart people.

They schedule 2 huge festivals of the same kind on the 22nd of November.
I'm talking about Stereosonic and Global Gathering.

Stereosonic is mostly trance and house and GG is mostly Dance, more indie.

Stereosonic is hostel by Carl Cox, Paul van Dyk etc.
GG's got Mark Ronson, Gorillaz, Fischerspooner, ATB etc.

I want to go to both but I think Mark Ronson made my choice pretty clear.

Hellooooo Mark!

Btw. The same thing happens on 1st of January, 2 festivals + sensation white.

House hunt.

There's something about living in a house that I don't like. Houses tend to have so much history smudged in the walls, I prefer new, fresh, minimalistic apartments.

I'm a skyscraper-whore. Yes, indeed.

Anyway, I realized quickly that I can't be too picky, I don't have too much time to loose and my whole itinerary for the coming months depend on how quick I'll be able to move in.

When you surf on gumtree.com.au, you'll find loads of ads but most of them are just..dodgy. I mean the person who's letting the house, basically. And with a dodgy person comes a dodgy house etc. Soo many dodgy guys out there, need to be careful, very very careful.

There are 2 reasons why people don't post any pictures of the pad. The place is either too shabby to be seen, or the person doesn't own any camera. I don't believe in the latter.

2 days ago, I went to that "Penthouse studio apartment in CBD"

Well, lets sort this out.

Penthouse was actually meaning top floor (but that didn't make any sense since that flat was a total lack of windows whatsoever)
And studio apartment, eh, that means everyfuckingthing in the one, same fucking room. Kitchen, bedroom, lounge, hallway. All-in-one.

A total waste of time.

I've got an appointment tonight 6- and 8pm. The one I looked at this morning was al right, I'll keep that as back-up.

Cheerios!

Still flat hunting.

What I've seen so far isn't impressing enough. I'm quite picky when it comes to living space. I need a spotless bathroom, a decent-looking kitchen, no carpets (germ-filled death trap), and lots of light. And I hate living in all girl sharehouses.

The only options available is either too far away, too shabby, sharing with Indian guys or too pricey. Life's tough. Really tough.

Spoke to my friend Simon, he gave me the advice to not sound too cool when replying to ads.
I was just about to send a reply to a 20 something music photographer guy called Luke. Simon made me re-consider but I decided to send it anyway.
Less than 1 minute later, I swear to God it couldn't have been more than 1 min, Luke called me.
He told me that he's recieved 23 emails within a few hours but mine was the only one that made him laugh; and of course, he thinks I'm super-wicked!
We're going to meet up tomorrow.

Wooho!

I also met a fashion design student named Stacey, she's from Beijing :D Which means plenty of time for me to practice my Mandarin if I move in with her. I'm going to her pad tomorrow.

I'm full of hope at the moment.

I'm in Melbourne!

For those who've actually missed the fact that I left Darwin for Melbourne yesterday.

Shame on you.

I'm staying at a hostel now, I see that as some kind of punishment but it keeps me aware of how important it is to find a flat asap!

I'm looking, my friends, believe me. Within 2 hours after arrival, 10+ replies sent away. I really hope someone will call me back today.

Anyway. If I'm really lucky, I'll get that kickass, killer-apartment for 250aud per week. Which means I'm paying fucking 5k sek per month for a ROOM. Whatever. I want it.

Hopefully, and I mean hopefully, I'll have something interesting to write everyday. He he.

I'll keep you posted.
